Raw Honey Apple Tart Recipe -

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup white sugar
1 large egg
7 medium red apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Honey from honeycomb

Steps:

1. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.

2. Add the egg and mix until combines.

3. Gradually add sifted flour and salt and mix to bring the dough together.

4. Turn the dough out over plastic wrap and wrap it. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

5. Roll out the dough over a 9-inch round tart pan. Prick the pastry shell with a fork. Chill.

6. Take 2 apples and cut them into thin slices.

7. Peel the rest of the apples. Cut them into 1/2-inch cubes.

8. In a large bowl, stir apple cubes, brown sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon together until thoroughly combined.

9. Place the apple mix on a saucepan over medium high heat and cook for 7 minutes.

10. Add the flour and continue to cook 1 minute.

11. Spoon apple filling into the crust, leaving any liquid behind in the bowl.

12. Arrange the apple slices on top of the filling, overlapping them to create a fan.

13. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes until top is lightly browned. Cover the tart with foil and continue to cook 20 minutes. This will avoid the crust and top apples from burning.

14. Let cool down and serve with whipped cream and honey.
